Goodbye Delhi!

It’s time to bid adieu to Delhi!!

I was in Delhi for more than four months on an assignment with Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE).Thanks to my always supportive family. I stayed in a decent, centrally located working women’s hostel. Lived the hostel life to the fullest all over again after almost 30 years!!
Workwise it was very enriching experience. Participated in the prestigious projects of MNRE. Understood Ministry’s stand on various projects, policies, planning, R&D.

In hostel, made friends with ladies from various fields. Doctors, lawyers, air hostesses, inspectors, bankers, from various govt departments, media, ministries… I was so happy to see the ladies chasing their careers, working hard to achieve the goals. Hats off to their supportive families!! Each one of them struggling to make her dream come true.. 
Being the eldest, I was the counsellor to many of them..be it a smallest issue of dressing, boyfriends.. to family issues and what not. Lived each day to the fullest..

Going to miss my office.. the broad, well maintained roads, India gate, Minister’s and officer’s bunglows and the landmarks on my way to office.. My auto driver who used to wait for me and not take any other passenger even if I am late.. C.P., shopping, trying dinner in various state’s houses.. long walks & all my dear friends who made my stay so memorable!! Will miss you girls!!

Now my home sweet home is calling!! Joining Pune University. University is like a mother to me… where ever I go… whenever I return.. always found it’s doors open for me…
