When I hear Generative AI my mind goes straight to robots. Robots in the classroom theres is no way. The Generative AI i’m talking about is more computer based, Generative AI is Artificial Intelligence that can generate text, images and other forms of media. How can we Integrate this into the classroom was my first question. Technology is changing society already we today already use a form of AI with translator apps. The video below will explain AI in everyday society.

An article states that using ChatGPT another form of AI, is a great way to bring Artificial Intelligence into the classroom. The article stated using ChatGPT to help with test prep in the classroom, students need new ways to study in the classroom. There is nothing wrong with a basic review but some teachers we can see lack of participation at times. As teachers we hate to see this for our students, we want something that will be engaging for students. This is something new that teachers can slowly bring into the classroom. If we see participation, and more engagement maybe we are onto something. The article states that Artificial Intelligence can also help teachers as well. Lessons plans take a lot of time and prep work to complete a whole lesson plan, coming up with lesson plans is a whole new battle. Teachers tend to look at Pinterest for help or other sites to help come up with ideas for lesson plans. With Generative AI teachers can find lesson plan ideas in a quick second.

Generative AI can have positive and negative reasons for being possibly brought into the classroom. There is the possible chance that students take advantage of the Generative AI to cheat. This is why I think teachers should bring Generative AI into the classroom slowly, or at their own pace. We don’t want to just have Generative AI take over the whole classroom just introduce it, if it works for a certain classroom great it may not work for another classroom. Thats what great about society today there are so many ways we can change our classroom setting that works best for both teachers and their students.

There will be some people that are not okay with Generative AI, that is understandable, we want students to use their own critical thinking. Some will saying adding Generative AI in the classroom can cause student's to rely more on technology, then their own critical knowledge. The world is getting more and more advanced with technology we can either roll with it and learn how to slowly introduce it or we can just have technology pass us by and we stick to our old ways.
