As a student, I was a master at…procrastination. A week or so before the exam I would study 14 to 15 hours a day non-stop until my head couldn’t take it any more. This results in me doing well in exams but not truly, properly learning the content.

This habit of putting things off to the last minute can’t be a good one to have...

If you are in that kind of situation too, then it’s now time to figure out powerful strategies for getting the most out of us. Making a change requires to get a clear picture of who we are and where we are now. If we want to change, we need to take time to understand what is most important to us, what are our expectations, strengths, weaknesses, values and motivations.

Held back by the limits of….our own perception

People who think of themselves as not very bright or whatever, can, simply through changing their perceptions and expectations, tapping into the power of their mind.

In his book The 3 things that will change your destiny today, Paul Mc Kenna highlights the direct and undeniable link between how we think and how we feel : “the implications for the impact of our own internal thoughts and images on the body are staggering. What we think about all day long is literally shaping our physical destiny, day by day and moment by moment. […] Our mind fills in the lines to create what we expect to see in our imaginations. In the same way, our perceptions and expectations from the past cause us to see the world in a certain way, even if what we see only exists inside our mind.”

“The first sign of madness is to keep on doing the same thing every day and expecting different results”

It’s our responsibility to make our dreams come true. But sometimes we just don’t want it bad enough or are not motivated enough.
My first advice would be to find out what drives you, develop a better self-discipline and get the most out of your day.
