Thanks for responding. Your suggestion didn’t help — yet — as I can’t login. As this is some time later, I don’t recall the interface or how far I progressed at all. I will presume that I “signed-up” originally to test the concept… and this would appear to be the case from the resulting error when requesting a password reset… 
“We’re sorry, but something went wrong. If you are the application owner check the logs for more information.”
Testing this error using a different email address, your system correctly recognises that the new email address is not associated with a user account.
