All caps can be a valuable way to differentiate a label from a placeholder, if the UI element (text input, button, …) doesn’t make this distinction clear. Google’s Material Design guidelines say all caps should be used to denote buttons and labels in their flat material UI spec. Mixed-type could also be used to make this distinction
