The sun will rise. & setting will arrive
carrying eyebags heavy from the day
Summer sits still waiting upon
rainy days to declare its absence.
Autumn brings gifts of colors
littering the floor with wry
Thanksgiving of leaves
as lovers make love under its branches
holding their vows in their
mouth —clasping
communion in their breaths
rising and falling.

Stay.
with yourself. You always stay.
Do not suffer in silence. stretch your mind to accommodate kindness. Mercy.
Do not shut the door. Spring is coming. Do not shut your door.
Marry to the things that assuage your pain & heal you. & cause your problems a disappearance.
FALL.
Fall.
Freely.
Do not bargain your peace. Do not negotiate your happiness. Laugh deep laughters. Some days will call your tears out. Cry. Sob. Do not second guess your worth. Stand up and leave places that label you, make you live constantly on your knees. You are not an apology.
Fall.
Hit rock bottom.
Pick up the pebbles you find on the ground. name them. Throw them away. Into the sea of your evolution – These are places you should forget. & never return to.
Forgiveness is a sin. Do not baptize your past suffering. Do not return.
STAY.
Stay.
Be present.
to yourself.
You know the scars that brought you here.
You reek of this journey.
Your skin is a testament to your bloodline,
wars. weariness.
You can trace the wars that snatched your breath.
Do not strive to prove your rightness.
Do not float. Be present.
The universe caters to your life.
Throw your hands up in worship
Leave your heart open and He will fill
it with new songs.
Sing.
Stay.
Say the grace.
