Instructions on distance

Clench stomach

so that the ache diffuses through organs

dispersing silent puffs from lungs

Paralyze bottom jaw

succumbing tears to gravity

drip by drip from the broken faucet of a mouth

Press lips to damp tiles

unsympathetically reviving with feigned passion

cells to the beating, organic beings they once were

Twist spine

so silky rubber of vertebrae will

slither into the backbone of our oceanic memories

Fasten palms to hips

spinning in circulars at nightfall

replaced circadian rhythm with your rhythm, my hands for yours

Reach into depths of inner oasis

to crawl to shoreline of yearning pleasure

receiving a sip from the straw of momentary ecstasy

Give flight to feet

so that the need for stationary fixation on recollections

drops mercilessly to the starved demons below

Wedge into partition of the right and left side of brain

stripped of reliance, functioning separately

intentionality of separating your image, un-wholing it…

Throw instructions away
