Number one is not new. I began dealing with this problem when the full stack developers became a thing. Right around that time, we designers lost touch with the font-end because it became a function of IT. I remember when I used to design and build the UI alongside the developer throughout the process. Today, I am a function of marketing, and front-end is off-shore, so what we get is trash most of the time. The hand-off is tricky, but it was not so critical before. Now with CMS systems like AEM, I need to deliver more than just CSS properties, I need to provide class names, and there is no easy way to do that, so we wait.
