To what extent can we actually trust our own experiences?
Empirical knowledge has been used as a form of proof in numerous philosophical problems since the beginning of Western philosophy, in contrast to Stoicism, and even still in modern philosophy. By definition, empirical knowledge is believing that you know something based on personal experience or sensuality; meaning, one believes something to be true because they have seen it, smelled it, heard it, or somehow experienced it.
