Simplification

Every moment, you are creating your experience. Your life is the canvas, and it can be a masterpiece.

Imagine yourself as an artist who’d like to create a wonderful portrait. If you start working from any detail, such as an eye or a nose, you’ll surely finish it. But I’m afraid that if you are not Picasso, the result will not be the one you desired. To create any picture, you must see the bigger “picture.”

Actually, your life is not as complicated and confusing as it seems. You complicate your life with your attitude to something or somebody; with your expectations, your excessive analyses, your comparisons, fears, contradictory desires, negative feelings, and your harmful thoughts. Everything is within you — inside your head and heart. Believe me, adventures of your everyday life are just facts. You should actually manage your reaction on the reality. Simplicity is a journey, not a destination!

What is simplicity? Anyone who writes software can answer this question; products are always more effective when they are clear and free from unnecessary things. Have you ever used any strategies for personal self-development? Mostly, these strategies work when they are based on simple principles.

Simplicity means getting rid of many not-meaningful things. To have more time, more health, and more love, do things that you adore and which provide real value. This should be your rule for a simple life.

Take just two steps to simplify your life:

1. Identify the things that are most meaningful and important to you

2. Liquidate all the rest

Use the MITs (Most Important Tasks) technique. Choose just one very important thing you want to accomplish each day — one thing that would make you feel inspired, and like you truly needed the result.

Be a minimalist to increase your productivity. Do just one thing at a time.
