Sola Weekly #25 | 10–16 July

The previous week was dedicated mainly to fixing bugs and numerous shortcomings in 2.8 update for our users to have a better experience with the new functionality.

Everything for bug fixes!

In this Weekly we decided to name some bugs being fixed:

After choosing a topic and pressing “Done” there was a grey window [Android]
Empty spaces in the cards without pictures in the grid menu [Web]
The inability to add text before a downloaded picture [iOS]
Problem with zooming the picture [Android]
Some of the cards had empty previews [Web]
Expired cards were shown to users repeatedly during a couple of hours [Android]
Editing of comments not working [iOS]
A bug report was unavailable [Web]
A problem with placing multiple links in one paragraph [iOS, Android]
A bug with YouTube videos preview [Web]
Problem with downloading GIFs [iOS]
Pictures disappeared in the draft [iOS]
Focus mode bug [iOS]

These and numerous other bugs were fixed during this week. Around 100 problems were solved and the functionality polished for a better experience. We are continuing to work on other misfits and are very grateful to all for your feedback! Thanks to all of you, a lot of bugs were fixed immediately, and we appreciate your help very much.

FIFA 2018 topic future

FIFA 2018 has finished. We congratulate our French community and French team fans for the victory! Also we suggest you to share your emotions and experience of watching the match with the Sola community — it would be really interesting to read about it! We replaced the FIFA topic from the featured ones. It will now be available with the link https://sola.ai/topics/football, in the list of the topics in Web Beta or by choosing the topic when creating and reading a football card.

Web translation

Currently we are working on translations for the Web version of Sola. For now we are deeply interested in increasing the number of French translators. If you speak English and French, want to gain some experience in translations and help Sola to become better and flourish, address me via Sola comments, e-mail hi@sola.foundation or write me a private message in Sola!
