Manchester United’s Cure for Boredom

It might be recency bias but in 3 separate twenty-minute stretches, one at each match, United played more attractively and offensively than I remember the last 2 years. Especially against Southampton, the 50–75 stretch could easily had produced 2 more goals. Zlatan inexplicably tried to pass with a header, Martial failed to score in two ridiculous chances and one more chance I don’t remember. All of these chances were created through fast attacking football, specifically targeting the overpowering combo of Valencia’s speed and Zlatan’s presence, or Martial’s open pitch speed.
