β€œπŸ–.πŸ–.πŸ–β€

It has been a while since I blog. Getting a little busy at work and taking care of the little one at home.

Saw this β€œRoasted Pork” recipe online few weeks ago and decided to try it out for dinner. Went to the wet market across the street and get the ingredients. While I was cleaning and preparing the pork belly, I realised that there was still a lot of hair on it. Therefore it took me sometime to plucked and clear it.

After which I put the pork belly (with the skin facing downwards) and the ingredients (refer to the following picture) into a pot and cook in low heat for 15 minutes.

Switch of the heat and take it out from the pot to cool it. Use toothpick to poke as many holes as possible on the skin and rub the pork belly with the followings;

  • Wu Xiang Fen
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Rice Wine

Wrap it with aluminium foil and put it into the fridge uncovered – best results is to leave it overnight. Before putting it into the oven, sprinkle a layer of coarse salt and roast it at 200Β°C for 30–40 minutes.

Take it out slowly from the oven and remove excess coarse salt and roast it for another 20 minutes at 220Β°C.

Ta~dah~! Your roasted pork is done and ready to be served πŸ–

This dish took me a little more time to prepare and I didn’t marinated it overnight therefore it turns out not as what I expected but since it’s the first time I’m making it, I would rate it 7/10 πŸ˜„
