Dear Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and Stephen Hawking: The Problem isn’t Artificial Intelligence.

I respect your point of view, but I really think you’re missing the point. When Elon Musk or any other ‘luddites’ talk about the great potential danger that AI poses to us they are not necessarily talking about robots who will kill everyone and start a humanity vs AI war.

I personally believe that they are refering to pure software AI. Which, with today’s interconnectivity and the AI’s ability to learn exponentially, could control virtually everything that surrounds us, be it your phone, laptop, security cameras, your wi-fi able car, your home security system, etc. I really believe that killer robots are not a thing we should, and will never have to, worry about. More so, we should be careful as to what this AI is given access to and what it’s limitations are based on it’s purpose or functionality.

Anyway, this is a rather interesting topic. Also, forgive my english as I might slip sometimes since it’s not my native language.

Thanks for the read and happy new year to anyone reading this!
