Fady Samir Sadek — yes, Meteor is definitely trying to level up their game, and that is to be expected and a good thing indeed.

But it doesn’t mean they should abandon newbie developers, which, in my opinion they effectively are doing by removing free hosting.

While advanced developers will not think of it as a big deal to have to, say, deploy Meteor on Heroku (which requires a lot more than just “meteor deploy”), that is not the case for newbies.

And speaking of Heroku, they certainly did not abandon the free option just because they also wanted to cater to advanced developers. I really wish Meteor would have followed Heroku’s lead in that regard.
