Ngeleka was born in The Democratic Republic of Congo, briefly lived in South Africa and then Orlando, Florida before becoming the first person ever to move to Los Angeles to become an artist while attending community college. During that time she became a featured comic at Flappers Comedy Club, edited the opinion section of The PCC Courier, interned at The International Documentary Association and was selected as fellow for OutSet: The Young Filmmakers Program. Her first short film, Sigourney Weaver premiered at the 2018 Outfest Film Festival. Her writing has appeared in Gay Magazine, Into More, and HopeIRL. After being rejected from their journalism school twice, she studied Cinema and Media Studies at USC School of Cinematic Arts.
