Women are the Pokemon to chase: A woman’s day story..

It amazes me when I ask people young people like myself about their role models or successful people in South Africa they admire and they tend to call out celebrities and socialites.

No disrespect to them but what about the super big players in South Africa the people that have created jobs, businesses that have CSI projects and pushed the entrepreneurial culture into new heights specifically top career driven women.

Do we even take time to reflect the impact of how Oprah, Arianna Huffington, Basestsana Khumalo, Sheryl Sandberg and Isabel dos Santos have empowered the woman organisational movement across the world.

I love Ariana Huffington quote:

if you take care of your mind you take care of the world.

Women and men as well need to follow these top class women leaders and stop spending too much time on gossip magazines and celebrity news but focusing on developing themselves for the future of their careers.

I say this based on observation because more male breadwinners are now finding themselves in financial difficulty and it is time for women to continue to becoming the impetus of the world by making their career and financial goals as a top priority for their families and society.

Many people complain about an unfair and unequal world not knowing that others are finding a way to win through the system despite all obstacles.

The old saying goes that those who believe it can not be done or usually interrupted by those doing it.

I leave you with an amazing recent story for Woman’s Day of Serena Williams after she was asked what it meant to reach three major tennis finals in a row.

Her response was:

“For anyone else in this whole planet, it would be a wonderful accomplishment, for me, it’s not enough. But I think that’s what makes me different.”

Happy Woman’s Day to all and always want to do more at work like Serena.
