An Update From Us
It’s been a busy 2017 in the world of Ando. We opened a new kitchen and expanded our delivery zone to include downtown NYC, hired a CEO with extensive experience growing and scaling quick-serve operations, and recently launched a brand new, delicious menu of classic favorites, reimagined in new ways.
As we’ve grown, we’ve also learned a lot — about delivery, operations, and our food: what our customers want, what delivers well, and what doesn’t. Based on these lessons, we’ve decided to try a new, hybrid model for Ando: a delivery and pick-up model.
There are a few reasons we’ve made this decision. While we fully believe in the power of delivery, we also recognize that not everyone is able to, or wants to, order delivery. This is why we are opening our downtown kitchen for pick-up and take-out — so that anyone can enjoy Ando. Soon, you’ll be able to come in, see our kitchen, and order food to stay or to go, wherever the day’s taking you. We’re proud of the food we’re cooking, and we want to share it with everyone. We’re excited that our customers will be able to experience Ando, in our kitchen, where our food is made.
In addition, our beloved pilot kitchen in Midtown kitchen was a way for us to test the model of delivery-only. We’ve grown as a business since then, and now have a custom-built kitchen that is more efficient than our original kitchen. Our downtown kitchen is built specifically for delivery and can also operate for pick-up, where Midtown simply cannot. That said, starting next week we will be consolidating our operations downtown and no longer delivering from our Midtown kitchen.
This means that our Midtown customers north of 45th St will no longer be able to order Ando — this is difficult for us, and we’re grateful to all of our customers who have been with us over the past year as we’ve grown and changed.
We will also be introducing an extended delivery zone from our downtown kitchen, allowing us to reach into new neighborhoods and introduce even more people to Ando. See our expanded downtown delivery zone and extended zone below. We’ll update our website with more information on this zone next week.

We’ve never been more excited about the food we’re serving than we are now — our chefs are preparing unique, delicious dishes made with quality ingredients and interesting flavors. We can’t predict where the future of this new model will take us, but we’re confident we can continue to serve and deliver great food, and we look forward to serving you.
