Nobody wants to use software
Bertil Muth

Why is this developer advice?

I don’t get it, are developers ultimately the ones who decide the addition of features? I hardly think so, most likely they’re at the wrong end of the equation. I also hardly believe that freed code camp is the channel to deliver this idea that “nobody wants to use software”, because that is a consultant metaphor which sits well on business magazines and MBA presentations, not where people who actually write the software come to relax or learn, because here, if anything, the message might be diminishing the perceived value of these people’s work.

How about the work of all the UX designers sweating details that actually make people want to use software?

Hand waving metaphors need context, and in this case the context is “business decision”, not “developmet practices”.

My 2 cents.
