Get In: As essential as good food
How I’ve imagined creating a new relationship between people and restaurants through technology
Have you ever arrived in a front door restaurant and found yourself in a 2-hours waitlist just to get in?
The Problem
Waiting in the line to get in a bar or restaurant generaly is not a good experience for consumers. Some restaurants in Brazil have more than 100 tables on their waitlist, and customers have to wait up to 4 hours just to go inside.
T o design what could be a good solution to this problem, my partners and I decided to understand more of how a restaurant works, and mostly, the difficult to manage the business when it gets in its full capacity.
After a period of market research, interviews and designing stakeholder journeys, we had mapped the most commons problems:
Customers:
- Due to the long wait time, many people feel discouraged to enjoy their favorites restaurants.
Restaurants:
- When customers give up to go to a restaurant, the revenue rate suffers directly.
- The inefficient operation does not allow the business to provide the same quality level service to their clients.
Our products
After understanding how the operation inefficiency and the lack of transparency and convenience provides a wall that block restaurants to expand their profit, we decided to create our B2B2C startup, called Get In.
Our focus was providing a complete platform for restaurants, allowing dinners to fulfil enjoy their moment of resting and union when going out to dinner with their loved ones.

For restaurants, we provide a platform that helps the staff to grow and manage their business through:
- Waitlist and reservation management;
- SMS and Push Notification;
- Customers location in real time;
- Collecting data and generate reports.

To their clients, our B2C solution includes an iOS, Android and Website platform that allow users to search for the best tables in town, visualize real-time information about the waiting list, and insert their name inside line or booking a reservation just using their phone devices, from anywhere.
