Fading Love

It was his cruelty that droved her away

His neglection that destroyed her

And his coldness that ended her.

He realized this too late

A regret that will haunt him forever.

As he didn’t realize how much she meant to him

And how much he loved her.

As he held her hand,

Swearing he will love her for the rest of his life

Promising to make it right, no matter how long it took

Give her the love that she deserves.

But in the end, It was futile,

For it was too late.
