Emotions can cause us to become caught in unhealthy experiences and cloud our ability to have clarity in life-changing moments. Emotional intelligence is critical to avoid getting caught up in the noise. The noise that clouds judgment doesn’t provide clarity but chaos. We must embrace this time because today determines the trajectory of every tomorrow.

Self-awareness is the tool for understanding the internal and the external within oneself. Travis Bradberry claims that “self-awareness allows one to come to an understanding of what one feels and why” (75). Many of the renowned humans in history practiced a modicum of self-awareness daily…

Multiple Linear Regression on Boston Housing Dataset

Before buying a house in the amazing city of Boston, lets’ use machine learning to predict future prices.

The Algorithm of Choice

Let’s apply the linear regression machine learning algorithm since our inputs are labeled and we’re trying to predict a price range of values as outputs. We’re going to apply the data science workflow to this problem to obtain optimal results. Let’s hit it!

The coronavirus is spreading very quickly but too quickly to predict future cases, recoveries, and deaths. In this article, I share some techniques on how to apply time series analysis using Facebook prophet and I apply visualizations of the coronavirus epidemic in real-time. This analysis is solely for educational purposes and has no other intent but to show insights on how you can apply these machine learning libraries and algorithms to real-world situations. The data provided will be in Jupyter Notebook Format.

This is a practical guide on how to apply K-Means clustering and extract insights from a dataset by using the unsupervised machine learning algorithm. Let’s dive in!

What is Cluster Analysis?

  • Cluster analysis is a multivariate statistical technique that groups observations on the basis of some of their features or variables they are described by.
  • Cluster analysis can also be classified as an unsupervised machine learning used by data-scientist to better understand data.

The Goal

The goal of clustering is to maximize the similarity of observations within a cluster and maximize the dissimilarity, with a feature or features, between clusters.

  1. Explore the data
  2. Identify the goal

Intuitively speaking, observations in a dataset can be divided into different groups and sometimes this is very useful for companies, labs, and scientists.

A Simplistic Example

What if I asked you to name an animal that has feathers and cannot fly. What if I asked you to predict if whether Elon Musk would’ve survived the titanic? How sure are you that you’ll provide the right answer? And what steps do you perform in your head to calculate the answer?

My guess is that you probably come up with a solution by asking other leading questions that then help you come to your answer. Congratulations! You’re actually on the verge of creating and implementing you’re own decision tree algorithm in your head. This methodology is very similar…

Building an Investing Platform

I will help the average American citizen make prudent investments, through my educational recommendation system. The beauty of this galvanizing product is that it provides advice on ETF’s that people can buy and on certain platforms based on their investment goals.

User Journey:

The user journey on this application starts with the user clicking on the demo and watching the demo before signing up. Once the user is satisfied with the demo, they can create an account. After they create the account they have access to the thirty-day free trial. What next? They will go to the search bar and type a…

How Are Businesses Leveraging Machine Learning?

AI, we’ve all heard the term by now, unless you’ve been hiding behind a rock for the past decade. Not only has artificial intelligence(AI) entered into the average tech connoisseur’s vocabulary, but it has become a buzzword that many people use to sound very knowledgeable in different domains. The interesting thing about AI is how it’s now considered electricity for the future. By virtue of AI’s exponential growth over the past several decades, many different industries realize its potential in generating revenue when making business decisions.

My interests particularly lie in how AI will influence the Healthcare, Finance, and Cybersecurity…
