If you’re considering switching careers and UX isn’t part of your role now, start with personal projects or volunteer your services to start building experience and a profile. UX is something you need to do to get good at it and for it to start to make sense. The community is a great place to start to get some momentum and pick up side projects.
It was no longer about how I wrote but how it was read, understood and acted upon. Although writing with the readership in mind was not a new practice for me, this was different. Here, the user was at the centre of everything. I realized I had to let go of my writer’s ego and write for the user. It was a huge shift in perspective.
