“Jesus’ demand to love God with all our heart and soul and mind and strength means that every impulse and every act of every faculty and every capacity should be an expression of treasuring God above all things. Jesus warned that this most important of all demands would be widely forsaken in the last days. “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold” (Matt. 24:12, NASB).

Beware lest your love for God grow cold in these days. Remember, we will love him to the degree that we know him. And remember that only Jesus can make him known in truth and fullness (Matt. 11:27). Therefore, look steadily at Jesus and pray that he would reveal God as compellingly beautiful. “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:9)."

“La exigencia de Jesús de amar a Dios con todo nuestro corazón, alma, mente y fuerzas significa que cada impulso y cada acto de cada facultad y capacidad que tenemos debe ser una expresión de atesorar a Dios sobre todas las cosas. Jesús advirtió que el más importante de todos los mandamientos sería abandonado en los últimos días. “y por haberse multiplicado la maldad, el amor de muchos se enfriará”. (Mateo 24:12, RV60).

Ten cuidado de que tu amor por Dios no se enfríe en estos días. Recuerda, lo amaremos en la medida en que lo conozcamos. Y recuerda que solo Jesús puede darlo a conocer en verdad y plenitud (Mat. 11:27). Por lo tanto, mira fijamente a Jesús y ora para que te revele a Dios como una belleza irresistible. “El que me ha visto a mí, ha visto al Padre” (Juan 14: 9)".
