Thank you Adam. It’s always a joy to read your writing and well thought out, balanced analysis of ideas! I also enjoy any attempt to collapse polarities. My own personal aversion to the word plan is not so much to do with a rejection of structure and visualizing future possibilities, it originates more from the stress this concept creates when it is based on delusional ideas of control. Often we create ‘plans’ that do not take into account human variables and moments that are unpredictable and then the desire to achieve the plan creates stress on human beings as they attempt to mold the unfitting reality into their original image of how things should be. I therefore prefer to focus on intentions and then align events around these goals naturally. As John Lennon once said, ‘life is what happens to us while we are busy making other plans’ :) Looking forward to more articles!
