Actually studies show that men are happier after getting married and having children, while women get bored and become unhappy. Women are also happier when they have the option of having multiple partners at their leisure, while men tend to be happier with familiar faces. For men, it has something to do with having or leaving a legacy, while for women, their identities as individuals are often at risk at being erased by the wife and mother labels.
