Why Do Men Put So Little Effort Into Serious Dating?
Emma Lindsay

Yo, this. I live with three dudes and I see this in action every day. It feels like with the guys effort is a finite resource. They’re either so used to having women hanging around them so they never really had to make an effort, or they feel that they deserve to have women dote on them for once, so that they withdraw effort in order to create an emotional imbalance in the dynamic. It’s bizarre. It’s like they do not know how to have a relationship without some sort of power dynamic, and at the end of the day, the idea that as the man they get the final say on how any relationship progresses is prevalent.
