Become Purposeful and Lose Weight

What specific actions will you take to get to your weight loss goal? You will definitely need a plan of action. Weight loss is achieved through having a good weight loss plan and exercise program and sticking to them both. Proper mindset is also essential. It is better to take action than to talk on and on to others about what you intend to achieve.

Although it is true that talk is usually cheap, mantras are effective. Mantras can be very helpful in maintaining focus for weight loss. Simply create an empowering mantra and repeat it to yourself. Eventually this will likely filter to the subconscious mind so you can believe your weight loss mantra more easily.

It is also wise to make a list of weight loss resolutions. Resolve to take solid actions toward your weight loss goal. Strong actions bring strong results. Therefore, think of several actions you could perform to cause yourself to be more fit. These could be tennis, jogging or the practice of any other sport.

It will be necessary to bring your game up to a new level. Use self-discipline. Look- really look- at yourself in the mirror. What could you do right now to improve your appearance? What is on the inside is of course the most important but it is a fact that people judge others by appearance. Use good posture, and smile and treat others well. You are on a path to self-improvement.

Most people do not take enough action. Everyone wants results. Everyone also wants results to happen very quickly indeed. Few people are willing to do what it takes to get these results. They don’t commit, yet they expect to lose weight.

It is true that taking action requires energy. Of course, taking action involves effort and this can be tiring. What makes it harder is that overweight people often lack energy and feel listless due to the excess weight. However, the only way to lose weight is by exerting the effort to do so. You must truly want it enough to do it.

What most people don’t think about is that procrastination takes effort too. In a sense, it is wiser to just get on with the weight loss instead of wasting energy avoiding it. Why not just get it done? Going over and over things mentally and stopping and starting again is an exhausting waste of time and energy.

Making a weight loss list is an effective idea. List ten items that you could do to help you lose weight. You probably already know what they are and can do this without too much thought. Take action on one of these items today. Then, make a real plan with deadlines to do the rest of the items.

It is time to get up to a higher level. Speaking about what you desire to do is of very little value if it is just hot air expressed to others. Reciting mantras however are another story and are a potential means to achieving weight loss. Be clear and focused about what you intend to achieve and weight loss will be yours.
