When showing up to listen to someone you disagree with speak is taken as harassment, then conversation becomes impossible.

It must be reasonably expected that your critics will be interested in what you have to say. The idea that the panelists where thus unduly intimidated by the presence of their loudest critics is absolutely ridiculous. How can anyone hope to change the opinions of others if the only people who are allowed to listen are those who already agree?
