Why I don’t answer most phone calls

I learned this when I had my first phone nearly 30 years ago. At that time you had to pay a fee even someone called you on your mobile. As I wanted to focus on my current task I created a solution which was perfect at that time. I gave every one my fixed line number with my answering machine. The answering machine called me on my mobile phone after the call was recorded. This allowed me to prioitize and people talked shorter which was more economical even I had to pay for the call to my mobile. Today if you reach my voicebox on my mobile phone I will tell you to text me an sms or write me an email as I will only check my voicebox once a day :-)
