You really don’t think that Weber or Durkheim have something interesting and valid to say?

I did sleep through my classes. That it got me a top grade nevertheless is disturbing. I like Durkheim and Weber, actually read them in the first year of philosophy. However: they are not exactly the new generation, are they? I am talking about the state of the field now, today’s ‘scientists’. That state is abysmal. Would be nice if we saw more of Weber, or even Bourdieu, instead of rabid socialists who see sexism, racism, evil capitalism and cultural appropriation everywhere, resulting in articles that look as if they were generated by algorithms fed only Marxist pastiches.
