Personal note

The signups for the open letter are closed now. The letter reached far more people then I could have ever imagined. People working in games, studying games, writing about games or just caring about games have shared and signed it. Thank you for that.

Writing and signing a letter is easy. Making change happen is hard.

I encourage you to continue reaching out to our community and talking about what else we can do to work towards a more diverse and inclusive industry that welcomes everyone.

The gaming industry is changing, whether those people like it or not, but it’s up to those who criticize and make games to initiate true, active change and show the cranks that their worldview is not shared. An open letter is nice — let’s see more. –Dave Thier on Forbes

If you signed or support the letter, I also highly recommend you to read “You Can’t Build Inclusion on Exclusionary Language”.
