In the last article I talked about top 5 most expensive pizzas in the world so now, to continue the series about food, I`ll talk about burgers. So what do you think about burgers? In order you enjoy a classic Mc Donald`s burger or a big one in a fancy restaurant, we all think the same when we take a bite from a giant full of taste dream: ``Oh, my god!``. :)

Let`s start:

For many, a burger is a symbol of casual indulgence — a juicy patty nestled between a soft bun. But for some extravagant palates, the humble burger is transformed into a culinary masterpiece, pushing the boundaries of taste and cost. Here’s a look at the top 5 most expensive burgers globally, where a single bite can set you back a pretty penny:

  1. The FleurBurger 5000 (Fleur by Hubert Keller, Las Vegas) — Estimated Price: $5,000

This Las Vegas legend holds the unofficial crown for the most expensive burger globally. This extravagant creation by celebrity chef Hubert Keller features a Wagyu beef patty layered with foie gras and black truffles, all nestled within a brioche bun dotted with black truffle powder. But the real showstopper? A topper of foie gras torchon wrapped in 24-karat gold flakes. This burger is an experience as much as it is a meal, served with a bottle of Chateau Margaux 1995.

2. The Kobe Beef Burger (Honky Tonk, Tokyo) — Estimated Price: $2,300

Japan takes center stage with this luxurious burger from the Honky Tonk restaurant in Tokyo. The star of the show is a hefty patty made exclusively from Kobe beef, renowned for its marbling and melt-in-your-mouth texture. This premium patty is then dressed with foie gras, black truffles, and a special sauce. Served on a brioche bun and accompanied with a glass of Dom Perignon champagne, this burger is a true indulgence for the discerning palate.

3. The Douche Burger (Douchebag Douchebags, London) — Estimated Price: $1,770

This burger from a London pop-up restaurant caused quite a stir with its name and price tag. The patty itself is a blend of Wagyu beef and lobster, adorned with foie gras, truffles, and Iberico ham. But the real extravagance lies in the bun, dusted with 24-karat gold flakes and studded with diamonds (yes, diamonds!). While the outrageous name might be a marketing ploy, the price tag is undeniably real.

4. The Absurdity (Mallie’s Sports Bar & Grill, Troy, Michigan) — Estimated Price: $500

This entry is less about luxury ingredients and more about sheer scale. The Absurdity from Mallie’s Sports Bar & Grill in Michigan is a behemoth, weighing in at a staggering 338.6 pounds. Made with 540,000 calories and enough to feed 80 people, this burger features a mountain of ground beef, 1.5 pounds of bacon, 1 pound of cheddar cheese, and a plethora of other toppings. While not the most refined option on this list, The Absurdity is a testament to over-the-top indulgence.

5. The Wagyu Burger (The Burger Joint, Las Vegas) — Estimated Price: $295

Compared to some entries on this list, The Wagyu Burger from The Burger Joint in Las Vegas might seem downright reasonable. However, its price tag still puts it in the realm of high-end dining. This burger features a juicy Wagyu beef patty topped with foie gras, truffle mayo, and Gruyere cheese, all nestled within a brioche bun. For those seeking a luxurious burger experience without breaking the bank completely, The Wagyu Burger offers a delicious and slightly more affordable option.

These extravagant burgers showcase the ability to elevate a simple dish to new heights (and price points). While the ingredients may be luxurious, the question remains — is the taste worth the astronomical cost?
