Great post! I’m starting my data science company this year, I have a strong academic background (math, physics and graduate) and a 8 year company.
I find free first time dive in report on clients data may not be the best approach in some countries. As an example, I work in Colombia (south america) and I know with 100% accuracy that giving my clients a free first data dive report will cause them not to want to pay afterwards. This might not be the case in Europe or the USA.
I also find the cost per acquisition is too high in data science, considering you need to know business details better than 80% of employees ever thought about and for the most part I think data products are a safer route for a first meeting.
Anyway, would keep writing. Nice burnout tips.
