As a journalist, my own life journey has become my portfolio, and one of the most remarkable chapters unfolded when I purchased a ticket for the Broadway musical "Beauty and the Beast." Slightly embarrassed, assuming it was a show primarily for children, I took my seat in the fourth row of the orchestra, unaware that I was about to embark on one of the most epic experiences of my life.

As the curtains rose and the first act commenced, I found myself immediately captivated by the enchanting performance unfolding before my eyes. Emotions surged through me as the iconic song "Be Our Guest" filled the theater. In that moment, I moved in my seat, swaying to the rhythm of the melody “Be our guest”.

During the intermission, I observed that the majority of the audience was composed of adults who, like me, were delighting in the production with childlike wonder. It fascinated me how, suspended in mid-air, the prince transformed into a beast right before my very eyes. I eagerly embraced the triumphant and heartwarming finale when they danced together, breaking the spell that had bound them. It was a sight that left an indelible impression on my soul.

As I walked back to my hotel, I couldn't help but reflect on the lasting impact of the performance. It wasn't just the catchy tunes, flawlessly choreographed sequences, or the remarkable investment in costumes and set design that amazed me. The underlying message resonated deeply within me. True love, one that sees beyond appearances and fights for its ideals, has the power to change everything. It was a signature hallmark of Disney's storytelling magic.

My experience at "Beauty and the Beast" on Broadway was a testament to the transformative power of theater and the timeless messages embedded within. It reminded me of the importance of embracing childlike wonder, being open to unexpected moments of magic, and cherishing the profound lessons that art, in all its forms, can teach us.

In the end, my day on Broadway was not just about witnessing a musical; it was an extraordinary journey of self-discovery, reminding me of the enduring impact that the arts, and the unmistakable touch of Disney, can have on our lives.
