The number 1 rule for a software services startup

Ok, maybe number 2.

Never let the client influence what you think about the complexity of a problem!!!

Never do 👆, my friend.

I have a software company called Disblu and I can say that this is something that happens every time we talk to a potential client.

They will always try to get more for less money. I can understand that. They will say the app is simple, that it could be done within 2 weeks. But that will never change the real complexity of a 4 months-long app.

  • The client most likely does not comprehend what it takes to write code.
  • You know how hard or simple something is to create and your expertise and experience are what should determine the cost and time to build software.

Have you had any experience like this? Let me know!
