How YOU face me determines EVERYTHING!!

As we go through our day to day routine we will from time to time experience situations that make us upset and suck the wind out of our sails. Some people are more prone experiencing these situations then others but I’ve come to learn that these situations are here for our own good and assume the role of the universes voice in making us aware that where we currently are in life is not where we are supposed to be.

When you are experiencing said situations take a back seat and analyse your current place in life and ask the following: What could the universe be trying to tell me? Am I where I should be in life? Could the situation that I perceive to be negative actually benefit me in anyway? If you have not managed to understand the potential benefits after asking those three questions don’t assume that there is only rain clouds above you. Everything we go through in life the good and the bad are there to make us the people we are supposed to be.

There is a light hearted parable to put the above in perception about a farmer who owned a mule
.The mule fell into the farmers well. The farmer heard the mule praying or doing whatever mules do when they fall in to wells. So after carefully assessing the situation the farmer decided that neither his beloved donkey nor the well were actually worth the trouble of saving.
He called over his neighbours and told them what had happened, and enlisted them to help haul dirt to bury the mule in the well and put him out of his misery.

Initially the mule was hysterical!! But as the farmer and neighbours continued to shovel dirt down the well onto his back, a thought struck him! It had suddenly dawned on him that every time a shovel of dirt landed on his back he would SHAKE IT OFF AND STEP UP!!

This he did, blow by blow. Shake it off step up, shake it off step up he kept saying this motivating himself more and more whilst fighting panic and fear of being buried alive. SHAKE IT OFF AND STEP UP!

After what seemed like ages the mule, battered and exhausted, stepped triumphantly over the wall of that well! What seemed like certain death became a turning point in his life as his mind-set and manner in which he had handled his adversity.

THAT’S LIFE!! We are all going to face challenges but it’s how you respond to those challenges that will ultimately determine your outcome!! Will you do the easy thing and have self-pity and bitterness and complain about how unfair life is or are you going to SHAKE IT OFF AND STEP UP!?
