All finished!! I didn’t do a post yesterday — it was a tough day and I was wiped out. Today was 75 miles of pristine Northern Michigan coastline. Beautiful!

We rode through Harbor Springs in the morning, a beautiful old town. After climbing up into the surrounding hills and riding through the Tunnel of Trees, we stopped and had a great lunch in Good Hart. Then it was on to Mackinaw City — this last part was easily the toughest part of the ride. The road was really terrible with tons of potholes and bumps and rolling hills. This meant I couldn’t get going up to my normal pace because I had to dodge left and right while climbing, then I was too tired to take advantage of downhills. In short, I hit a wall after lunch and had to really dig deep to finish the race.

I finished covered in bike grease, sweaty, and exhausted. Can’t wait for next year!
