Live video makes life taste better

Life is one hell of an experience. The range of emotions we encounter, items we consume, people we meet all help shape our reality, hopefully in a good way. Such a live is full of an adventure, if you so choose it to be. Mine certainly is. I like it that way.

However, I’ve always struggled with the debate of sharing these expereiences with others through social media or just enjoying the moment and leaving my iPhone in my pocket. I still struggle with this, but I tend to be a ‘sharer’. We’re given so many tools to create things! How can I resist the temptation to polish up my photos with Instagram or share my adventures through Final Cut Pro and YouTube? For me, creating is an addiction.

While I still have not come to a solid decision on the “share vs. enjoy” debate (the answer must certainly be somewhere in the middle), there is one tool that I get more into every day. That is live streaming. Instead of enjoying the moment alone, I can allow others to experience it with me. For example, my mom is not a traveller but I wanted her to see the Cliffs of Moher. I was able to do a combo of Periscope and FaceTime to have her see it with me. Not going to lie, it was a bit emotional.

When you use it the right way, live video can offer value and flavor for everyone! Whether you use it to share your adventures with your mom or do a Q&A session about a favorite topic, it’s a great creation tool. This post is my way of saying I love live video and I’m setting a goal to do it more to share my adventures and random knowledge.

Whenever you see this photo on my social media, that means I’m live on Periscope. Hit the link accompanied and join my adventure. I’ll see you there!
