Welcome To My Journey
Good day everyone! My name is Andrew and in this post, you will get to know a little about myself. I was born in Jacksonville, FL but was raised in between Newark and West Orange, NJ. I am the oldest of five children with two younger brothers and two younger sisters all of whom I love dearly. I was always known as the “smart” kid growing up because my peers always found me in a book studying or getting good grades. However, I tended to think I was the “fun” guy. I loved to play sports, play video games, or even just listen to some music ranging from country to hip-hop.
My career aspirations tended to vary in my life. At first, I thought I wanted to be a doctor. I thought it would be pretty amazing to help people with their problems and more importantly make my parents proud of me. However, as I got older, I realized that the process of a doctor was maybe too much for me because it was probably not for me but for my parents. Luckily, my high school Physics teacher, Dr. Lawrence, told us about a new major on the rise which was bio engineering. At first, I didn’t think it would be anything special, but he made mention of the fact that you can still help people but maybe by making inventions instead of prescriptions. Honestly, that was enough to get me hooked on that career path with the intent of making medical devices to help the public which got me to Temple University.
As I now reach my senior year of college, with my expectations held high, I was enrolled in a course for this Fall semester named Mechanics of Fluids. At first, I had mixed feelings about this course as this was a requirement for my degree and it might seem too rigorous for me to handle. However, as I got to see my professor’s motivation to see his students succeed, I can only hope for the best out of this class and to hopefully learn something new for my career as an engineer and as a young man.
With that being said, he also assigned my class this blog, which at first thought would be a tedious task, but it has been very therapeutic to say the least. This blog will allow me express myself in a way that I can not on other platforms which I find to be fun.
Hopefully, within this blog, you can take a journey to know more about me through my thoughts and reactions.
