Lord, wean me from the love this world gives that I so desperately search for and run to every single day. I look to temporal and finite beings for love, I am simply trying to dig broken cisterns for myself that can never satisfy my thirst.
You have proven your love for me in Christ, you love me fully knowing how I have offended you — a holy and righteous God. Not only do I have mistakes and inadequacies, but I have sinned against You and You alone in my very act of looking to others than to You, like an adulterous woman who forsakes her lover.
Yet in Christ, You still love me.
You came for me.
You bled for me.
You died for me.
I believe, help my unbelief.
