As Christians, if we are ever prone to complain about our current circumstances and how far they press us. How stuck we may feel, how difficult walking the narrow road has become, how impossible to stay faithful to God — let us look to Jesus on the day he walked towards calvary. Let us imagine his face, his blood, his tears, his sweat and beaten skin — carrying the cross, on the cross, crying out to God, naked, mocked.
Let us look in his eyes and imagine the lengths that he went to in order to love God and to love us. He stayed faithful until the end, even unto his own death.
May that humble us. We do not have any right to complain in comparison to the love Christ has shown for us.
