Hey, could be worse.

On Sept 21, 1922 the Cleveland Indians put Elmer Joeseph Hammon (nicknamed Doc) in to pitch in the 9th inning. It was his MLB debut. Hammon then proceeded to walk the first two batters, hit the third batter, issue another walk to the 4th batter, give up a triple to the 5th and then back to back singles to the 6th and 7th batters.

All told he faced seven batters, recorded no outs and allowed six runs. He never threw another pitch in the Majors again. Retiring with an infinite ERA and the dubious record of “Most batters faced in a career without recording an out”.
