If not, why did the people making a documentary about the abuses and shadowy happenings in the criminal justice system owe Teresa more than they owed any other victim of a homicide?

Yes, her death was tragic, but the tragedy of it was simply not relevant to the underlying question of the documentary: did Steven Avery do it?
