FROM THE CHEAP SEATS

I’ve decided to call my column “From the Cheap Seats” as an homage to the Eagles Seasons Tickets my Dad had when I was a kid. Located in the 600 level of Veterans Stadium, it is a reference to the joy I felt watching the Eagles and Phillies in my youth. It also is a reference to the fact that I will be writing with little to no skin in the game, it’s simply my observation and thought about a topic or topics.

So who am I? I am many things to many people. I am a dad, a son, a brother, a husband, a former high school and college athlete, a saltwater fisherman, a Colonel of Armor in the Army, a self-titled intellectual, a friend, an adversary, a die hard Philly sports fan, and a fan of any music which is heavy, hard, fast and confrontational. I like to read — a lot — about a lot of varied topics from a lot of varied authors. I have an anti-library and a library. So welcome aboard troop, praise the Lord and pass the ammunition, because it’s time to go over the top and get busy.
