Don’t Ask The Wrong People
Take People’s Advice With A Grain Of Salt

Great article Darius. The flipside of this argument is that asking the RIGHT people can have huge gains. You’re right, people love to give advice and see that advice followed through.

So if you want to connect with someone and develop a relationship, a great strategy is to ask for their advice, follow through on it, and then check back in 2–3 months later telling them how you applied their advice and the results it had.

Repeat as necessary with that person, and all of a sudden you have a relationship and a valuable mentor.
