I was recently surprised to discover BC MASTER, a sub-brand of AUKEY, a fairly well-known consumer technology company. Both brands sell some similar products so I imagine BC MASTER is a brand that might simply appeal to certain regions in the world. There isn’t really much published about the history of the brand, so I’d love to learn from the AUKEY team how the BC MASTER brand came to be.

Regardless, I was given the opportunity to test and review the BC MASTER USB C 10,000mAh Power Bank and it did not disappoint! Read ahead to learn more and get my take on it.

Initial Impressions

Cosmetically, the BC MASTER Power Bank has an exterior that is made from TPU. The majority of it is textured which gives it a nice matte-like appearance. This also provides some additional grip which is always good.

This 10,000mAh power bank has a very minimalist vibe which I always love to see in technology. In comes with 3 ports: USB-C, micro USB, USB-A which makes it very versatile. If you’re interested in technicalities, here are the various inputs and outputs:

  • USB-C Output: DC 5V 3A, 9V 2A, 12V 1.5A
  • USB Output: DC 5V–6V 3A, 6V–9V 2A, 9V–12V 1.5A
  • USB-C Input: DC 5V 3A, 9V 2A
  • Micro-USB Input: DC 5V 2A

Basically, these mean that you can charge your devices using a USB-C or USB-A output and you can charge the power bank itself using a USB-C or Micro-USB input.

In addition to the ports, you’ll also find one button which, when clicked, turns on the blue battery level lights. There are 4 lights so each light represents about 2,500mAh of charge which gives you an indication of how much charge is left before the power bank needs to be recharged.

For its 10,000mAh capacity, this power bank is fairly small, slim, and light, more so than most smartphones these days, which makes it easy to carry around in your pocket or bag.

Usage

I primarily use the BC MASTER Power Bank to charge my Google Pixel 3 when i’m on the go. With a fully charged power bank, I can charge my phone fully 3 times plus a bit more which is more than enough to get through multiple days if I have a long day out and will need to charge my phone at some point. You can also charge 2 devices at the same time.

The BC MASTER Power Bank comes with 18W Power Delivery and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. In general terms, this means you can charge devices faster and more efficiently.

Power Delivery

Power Delivery is a universal multi-voltage charging standard that dynamically negotiates power output over a USB Type-C connection to safely and efficiently recharge a wide range of compatible devices. As an example, Power Deliver enables you to charge the iPhone 11 Pro up to 50% in about 30 min.

Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0

Engineered to refuel devices up to four times faster than conventional charging. Powered by INOV (Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage) Technology for fine-tuned power output and more optimized charging cycles. Up to 38% more efficient than Quick Charge 2.0. Backward-compatible with Quick Charge 2.0/1.0 devices.

Use Cases

The core appeal and value of power banks is their ability to charge devices without needing to be tethered to an outlet. In my experience, i’ve found them particularly useful for activities such as traveling, sightseeing, or other hectic days where it’s unlikely that i’ll have access to an outlet.

Considerations

I really don’t have anything constructive to offer with regards to the BC MASTER Power Bank. The only suggestion I can make is that it would have been nice to see this power bank come with a little pouch, as i’ve often seen battery packs this size come with because you can conveniently store cables in it as well. This is an added bonus that would never be a deal-breaker for me.

Bottom Line

The BC MASTER Power Bank is a small power bank with a low profile that packs 10,000mAh, 3 different ports, and power drive, giving you a very versatile and powerful power bank that will charge most smartphones multiple times over. For about $25, the value is really unmatched and so I would recommend this if you are in search of a reliable power bank to keep you powered all day long.

Have you tried a BC MASTER Power Bank or product before? What were your impressions?
