Andrew Goldstein from Memphis — Sigma Chi Alumnus
The declaration reads that sorority is a tissue drawn from innumerable centers of academia. The statement is purely textual and as in academia fraternity or sorority is often seen as fun time but they are much more than mere functionary. The idea of fraternity or sorority is a proposal to a world that’s solely expressible through other worlds of communication. And that too so definitely in the world of academia. Sorority or fraternity’s notion is directed against existentialism of academia. They help as cradle of leadership for lifetime. As compared to non- fraternity students 70 percent of fraternity students graduate. In a way sorority is directly formed against organic and closed view of academia. A formulation that posits as expression of other things, passions, humor, feelings, impressions etc. These formulations help build a sense of self, of his or her own subjectivity or essence. In a sense it’s soul of academia.

The various meanings of word search means to give utterance to. As this means the idea of sorority is a search and establish proposition. Secondly the target that communication is structured in such a way to make feeling or intention possible. All these propositions are important to form a sorority.
The revelation of an authentic human voice is constitutive of a sorority that complicates the idea of audience, the question of who hears. The sorority as an exemplar of self- communion. Academia whereas overheard, sorority is heard. Whereas academia is impelled by its own contradiction the fraternity is a homogeneous whole. That signifies a clear beginning, middle and end.
One of the essential parameters of sorority is the process of composition. Indeed it may not be an exaggeration that sorority is formed and judged by the paradoxical nature of its source of composition. Its very source of vital energy. It is a dense and provocative account.

The idea that academia with notion of sorority is fundamentally, expressive of the healthy soul of students. Sigma chi being the largest fraternity across United States includes famous personalities like Drew Brees, Brad Pitt and John Wayne. With 117 sigma chi alumni chapters across America that it has from Boston to San Diego and now aspiring to form one in Memphis near Nashville where it already has one. Andrew Goldstein from Memphis is in his early stage of founding alumni organizations to set up a sorority. His search targets reaching people of Sigma chi for the purpose of invitation. His challenge involves locating fellows so that an active fraternity is formed.
“So far I’ve been able to connect with about 10 brothers ranging in age from 24 to 63 and I’ve had a really positive reception. I’m very optimistic that this alumni chapter will become a reality!” Andrew Goldstein acknowledged that there is a long road ahead, but he hopes to file the requisite paperwork by the end of the year.
The expressive search to found a fraternity accounts for everything that’s commonly or conventionally understood by the word student. That is the search Andrew is going through.
