Ball is Life

If you haven’t seen the UCLA Bruin star-guard Lonzo Ball play yet, you are missing out. I was fortunate enough to see him play twice now. The first time was last year on ESPN, when he was still in high school at Chino Hills in California. More recently, I watched him Saturday afternoon as he led the Bruins to a victory over John Calipari’s Wildcats in Kentucky. The freshman guard tallied 14 points, six rebounds and seven beautiful assists. He also set the UCLA freshman assist record last week with 13. Surpisingly, he isn’t the only Ball who is ballin’! In high school he was on the same squad with three other Balls: his brothers LiAngelo and LaMelo as well as their cousin Andre Ball. You might have heard about LiAngelo recently. The senior guard scored 56 points last Tuesday night, then followed that up with a 72 point outburst including thirteen threes. The youngest Ball- LaMelo, chipped in with 31 points! They say, “ball is life”. Well, that is definitely the case in this family. Watch out for these three future NBA stars as they continue to shine!
