Sacramento’s King Cousins Shows No Mercy To Lakers

He may be a headache for coaches, he may be a headache for referees, and he is definitely a headache for opposing defenses. Demarcus “Boogie” Cousins had a huge game on Valentine’s Day and showed no love and no mercy for the young Los Angeles Lakers. He finished with 40 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists as the Sacramento Kings escaped with a 97–96 victory. Despite Lou Williams 29 points in just under 25 minutes and a shot to win the game, the Lakers came up short. Cousins was punishing the Lakers’ big men down the stretch. What can’t this guy do? He has really developed his all-around game. He can take it down low and overpower you, he can take you outside and stroke the 3 ball. His handle has also come a long way and now he is able to pull up for the mid-range jumper as well. If you foul him, he will beat you at the free throw line. Will he stay in Sacramento to finish out his career? I certainly hope not. This guy deserves a shot at an NBA Title. Imagine Cousins teaming up with Russell Westbrook or Chris Paul or even LeBron James. What will this King’s legacy ultimately be? Only time will tell. There is no question that he is the most talented big man in the league today, and one of the most talented big men of all time.
